PARENT TO PARENT was established in 1987 to support parents and carers of children and teenagers who have additional needs. This includes learning difficulties, physical disability, sensory problems, behavioural problems or long term medical needs. We offer one to one support through our team of Support & Advocacy Workers and can link parents to volunteer parents who have experience of caring for a child with additional needs. The support can include practical help such as information about local services and advice about benefits. We offer emotional support  when parents have been given a distressing diagnosis and can give advice on parenting strategies.
